The weekly peels worked on the pigmentation already at the surface. At the same time, we needed to stop new pigmentation from forming beneath the surface before it could come up. That part is managed at home with pigment inhibitors. We were able to manage her pigmentation successfully. With melasma, pigment inhibitors are key, because melasma can be managed but not cured. That is why she stays on a pigment inhibitor every day, even after her peels ended.

  • BioRePeelWe chose weekly BioRePeel, which brightens with little to no downtime. We spaced them one week apart so we could reach the results we wanted faster. It took 8 peels over 2 months. View BioRePeel

Heat and sun can bring pigmentation back after summer, even with pigment inhibitors and sunscreen, because heat on its own can trigger pigmentation. For clients with melasma who live in a hot climate or love the sun in summer, we recommend adding the Hydrinity Vivid Brightening Serum. It helps lower skin temperature, which helps keep pigmentation from getting worse during the warmer months.
