Skin that is short on water feels tight, looks dull and flakes, and oil on its own cannot put that water back. Glycerin can. It is in almost every moisturizer you have used, and it is one of the most studied ingredients in skincare.
The short answer
Glycerin is a humectant, which means it attracts water and holds on to it. Applied topically, it pulls water into the outer layer of your skin, helps a damaged barrier recover faster, and helps old surface cells shed evenly instead of building up into rough patches. Skin feels softer the same day. It suits every skin type and works best inside a moisturizer that also contains oils and fats.
What it does
Glycerin is a humectant, which means it attracts water and holds on to it. Applied topically, it pulls water into the outer layer of your skin, helps a damaged barrier recover faster, and helps old surface cells shed evenly instead of building up into rough patches. Skin feels softer the same day. It suits every skin type and works best inside a moisturizer that also contains oils and fats.
Most people assume the top layers of skin are dead and irrelevant. The outermost layer actually signals to the deeper layers to regulate hydration, collagen and cell renewal, and it decides how much water your skin keeps.
Two things hold water in that layer: water-attracting substances inside your cells, including glycerin your skin makes itself, and a thin layer of oils and fats on the surface that helps stop water from evaporating. When either runs low, water leaves faster than it is replaced, and skin feels tight and starts to flake.
Dry and dehydrated skin are not an either/or. Dehydrated skin is short on water. Dry skin makes too little oil, and without enough oils and fats it struggles to hold water too.
Moisturizers work through three kinds of ingredients. Humectants attract water and hold it, as glycerin, hyaluronic acid and panthenol do. Emollients are oils and fats that fill the gaps between your surface cells, which makes skin feel soft and smooth, as squalane and ceramides do. Occlusives, such as petrolatum, form a thin film over the surface that slows evaporation.
A humectant brings water in. Without oils and fats over it, more of that water can evaporate again, which is why glycerin is almost always formulated alongside emollients and occlusives.
Glycerin is a very small molecule that moves into the outer layer of your skin and binds water there. Your oil glands break down fats into glycerin, and channels in your skin cells called aquaporin-3 carry glycerin and water through the upper layers. In mice that lacked those channels, skin held about half as much water and repaired its barrier more slowly, and glycerin applied topically corrected both.
Beyond holding water, glycerin helps a damaged barrier recover faster. It helps the natural enzymes that loosen old surface cells do their work, which means cells shed evenly instead of piling up into rough texture. In dry conditions it also keeps the fats between your surface cells flexible, where they would otherwise stiffen and let water escape.
The result is skin that feels softer, looks smoother and copes better with the rest of your routine, because an intact barrier keeps irritants out as well as water in.
Glycerin is part of the structure of every fat and oil, from plants and from animals. When those fats are split apart, during soap making or biodiesel production, glycerin is released and then purified. It can also be made in a lab from starting materials derived from propylene.
The source does not change the molecule. Purified glycerin from a plant oil, an animal fat or a lab is the same substance, and the US Cosmetic Ingredient Review panel has assessed it as safe as used in cosmetics. Plant-derived on a label describes sourcing, not how glycerin works on your skin.
Glycerin has decades of research behind it, gathered in a 2008 review in the British Journal of Dermatology. In a placebo-controlled, double-blind trial in people with atopic eczema, a 20 percent glycerin cream raised skin hydration within one week compared with the same cream without glycerin, and hydration stayed higher for two weeks after people stopped. A larger trial of 197 people found the same strength well tolerated over a month, and dryness improved in every group, including the cream without glycerin, which shows the whole moisturizer matters.
In healthy volunteers, skin with glycerin recovered faster after researchers disrupted a small patch of the barrier on purpose. The aquaporin-3 work comes from mice, and early findings on wound healing still need confirming in people.
The amount of glycerin changes how much it hydrates. In studies, raising it from 5 to 10 percent improved hydration, and on very dry lower legs the benefit peaked at around 20 to 40 percent. At higher levels glycerin can feel sticky, which is why a face product balances hydration against how it feels.
Brands rarely print the percentage. Ingredient lists run from the largest amount to the smallest, which means glycerin near the top is there in a good amount. Glycerin, glycerol and glycerine are the same ingredient. Glyceryl stearate is a different substance made from glycerin, with a different job.
Most glycerin comes in a moisturizer, which means it goes on at your moisturizer step. If yours is in a serum or a toner, apply it after cleansing and follow with a moisturizer that contains oils and fats.
Glycerin does not interact with other ingredients, which is why it works alongside everything in your routine. It pairs well with ceramides, cholesterol and fatty acids, the three main fats that hold your barrier together, because they rebuild the gaps between your surface cells while glycerin brings water in. Sunscreen every morning, reapplied through the day, protects that barrier.
Not when it is in a well-made moisturizer. Glycerin attracts water from wherever there is more of it. In very dry air, pure, undiluted glycerin can draw water out of the outer layer of your skin.
In a moisturizer, glycerin is diluted and formulated with oils and fats that slow evaporation, which keeps the water where your skin needs it. In dry conditions it also keeps your skin's surface fats flexible, which helps your barrier hold water in a separate way.
Both, and many moisturizers use the two together. Glycerin is a very small molecule your skin also makes itself, with research behind it for barrier recovery as well as hydration. Hyaluronic acid holds water at the surface and gives skin a plumper look. Both are excellent at what they do.
Your skin feels softer the same day, and in the eczema trial hydration measured higher within one week. Give it about four weeks of daily use for dryness and roughness to settle, and photograph your skin on day one, in the same spot in natural daylight, to compare.
Yes. Glycerin is generally considered safe, and it is a substance your own body makes. Skincare ingredients are almost never tested on pregnant people, which is why we suggest checking with your OB or midwife before starting anything new.
How to use it
A note on the evidence. Glycerin's effect on hydration and barrier recovery has been measured in people, including placebo-controlled trials in eczema-prone skin, though those trials are small to moderate in size and used a 20 percent cream. The aquaporin-3 findings come from mice and the work on skin fats in dry conditions from laboratory models, which is why we describe those as how glycerin is understood to work.
A lightweight serum that supports collagen, smooths wrinkles, and strengthens the skin barrier.
I recommend the GlyMed Essential Serum for clients who want hydration and anti-aging support in a very lightweight formula. It absorbs quickly and layers easily into most routines, which makes it simple to use with other treatment products. This is a great option for maintaining healthy, balanced skin while supporting smoother and more resilient skin over time.
GlyMed Essential Serum is a lightweight treatment designed to help soften the appearance of fine lines and support healthier-looking skin. By helping improve collagen support and strengthening the skin barrier, it targets early signs of aging while helping skin maintain a smoother, more resilient appearance over time.
This serum works by helping replenish lipid-identical components and amino acids that support the stratum corneum. A healthier barrier allows skin to better retain moisture, resist environmental stressors, and maintain balanced function. Supporting the skinβs outer layer helps reduce the visible effects of dehydration, fatigue, and environmental exposure.
As the skin barrier becomes stronger and more balanced, the complexion often appears smoother and more refined. Regular use helps support improved elasticity, softer texture, and a healthier-looking glow. Skin can appear more refreshed and energized as hydration and structural support improve. Algae extract adds antioxidant support and helps improve hydration and skin vitality.
This serum is well suited for individuals beginning to address early signs of aging or those looking to maintain healthy skin over time. Its lightweight texture makes it easy to incorporate into daily routines and layer with other treatments, making it a versatile option for both preventative and corrective skincare.
For puffiness, dryness, sensitivity, glycation and tired-looking eyes
Hale & Hush Eye Mousse works really well for clients whose under-eye area feels dry, tight, irritated, or overstimulated from treatments, allergies, weather, or stronger actives. The texture feels lightweight even though it gives enough hydration for daily use, and I also like that it helps support collagen and elastin so the eye area ages more gracefully over time. You may notice a brief tingling sensation or slight redness right after applying it, which usually fades within a few minutes. This is part of the oxygenation process, and you can actually see the skin becoming more oxygenated, which is pretty cool.
Hale and Hush Eye Mousse is an airy, velvety eye cream that addresses the most common signs of stress and aging around the eyes including fine lines, dullness, puffiness, and persistent fatigue. It delivers wrinkle-fighting peptides, oxygenating actives, and a patented anti-glycation complex in a formula light enough for sensitive and reactive skin types.
Tired-looking eyes are not always a hydration problem. They are often a sign that the skin's repair cycle has been disrupted. Eye Mousse uses a chronopeptide that works at the level of circadian gene expression, helping the skin around the eyes reset its biological rhythm and recover more effectively. Skin looks more rested and revived over time.
Fine lines deepen as collagen breaks down and loses structural integrity over time. Eye Mousse contains a collagen-stimulating peptide alongside an anti-glycation complex that protects existing collagen from sugar-related damage. With consistent use, fine lines appear softer and the skin around the eyes feels more resilient and firm.
Eye Mousse contains perfluorodecalin, a compound that carries oxygen directly into the skin tissue, stimulating circulation and bringing natural radiance to the surface. Very sensitive skin may notice a brief mild tingle and temporary redness on first use as blood flow increases. This subsides quickly and leaves a brighter, more awake appearance.
Brightening eye complex that smooths fine lines, reduces puffiness, and gently restores radiance.
If you are dealing with multiple under-eye concerns you will be obsessed with this twice a day eye cream, it has the ability to address a spectrum of issues simultaneously, from dark circles and fine lines to tightening and enhancing luminosity.
Hydrinity Eye Renew Complex delivers a surge of advanced hydration, targeting fine lines, puffiness, and dark circles. Its patented PPMβΆ Technology and dual molecular-weight hyaluronic acid work synergistically to smooth and plump delicate skin around the eyes, leaving the area visibly refreshed, firmed, and revitalized.
This serum blends powerful peptides, like Acetyl Tetrapeptide-5 to reduce puffiness and Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1 & -5 to boost collagen, with botanical actives such as cranberry biopeptide, super microalgae, and chrysin to brighten and enhance skin resilience. Chrysin, found naturally in honey and passion fruit, helps improve the look of dark circles by reducing excess melanin around the eyes.
Despite its potent formulation, Eye Renew Complex feels featherlight and absorbs quickly without leaving residue. It layers smoothly under makeup or SPF and preps the skin for subsequent skincare steps. Apply a small amount around the eye area morning and evening, staying clear of the inner corners. It is fragrance-free and non-comedogenic.
With consistent use, many users report up to 84% fewer lines, 77% less puffiness, and 73% improved dark circles within 14 days, making Eye Renew Complex a fast-acting solution for revitalized eyes. Super microalgae, a blend of amino acids, minerals, and vitamin B12, helps energize the skin and visibly improve luminosity around the eyes.
Targets fine lines, puffiness, and dark circles with exosomes for firmer, refreshed eyes.
If youβre struggling with puffiness, dark circles, or fine lines around your eyes, Plated Eye Serum is such a standout. My clients love how light it feels yet how powerful it is at smoothing and firming the delicate under-eye area. It hydrates deeply without being heavy, so the skin looks refreshed and lifted; Iβve seen such a difference in tired, crepey eyes.
Plated Eye Serum is designed to address signs of fatigue and aging around the eyes, including puffiness, dark circles, fine lines, and crepiness. This concentrated formula visibly rejuvenates the under-eye area, restoring a smoother, more lifted appearance. Exosomes act as messengers, delivering growth factors, peptides, and RNA to support cellular repair and regeneration.
Powered by Platedβs patented Renewosome exosomes, this formula delivers lab-grown regenerative messengers that mimic the skinβs natural repair signals. These exosomes target inflammation and oxidative stress, helping to reverse the visible damage that accumulates around the delicate eye area. Peptides and amino acids help signal the skin to repair, firm, and rebuild itself.
Daily use helps improve elasticity, reduce crowβs feet, and brighten dark shadows under the eyes. The result is skin that looks more awake, resilient, and refreshed, with visibly fewer lines and a more even tone over time. It hydrates deeply without feeling heavy, leaving tired, crepey eyes looking smoother and lifted.
This ophthalmologist-tested serum is hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic, fragrance-free, and safe for sensitive skin. It layers well under makeup and sunscreen, making it ideal for daily morning and evening routines. Dispense a small amount, apply it with the cooling metal tip, and gently tap with your ring finger if desired. Cap it right after use to keep the tip moist.
Intensive hyaluronic acid and peptide serum for dehydration, fine lines, and loss of firmness.
If you have reactive skin, redness, fine lines, loss of volume, or skin that has lost its bounce and firmness, this one is worth knowing about. There are a lot of hydrating serums out there and when you are adding one to your routine you have the opportunity to get more than just hydration. At LAZ Skincare we carry several options and each one brings something different to the table. Vivant FF3 Hydra Intensive HA is one we love recommending at the clinic specifically for clients dealing with these concerns because the peptide complex delivers real lifting and firming alongside the hydration, and the anti-inflammatory actives make it well tolerated even for rosacea-prone and reactive skin.
Vivant FF3 Hydra Intensive HA is the ultimate hydrating and plumping serum, combining high molecular weight hyaluronic acid with specialized neuropeptides, signaling peptides, DMAE, and niacinamide to deliver intense multi-level hydration and extracellular matrix support. Skin becomes deeply hydrated, dewy, and firmer with reduced laxity, overall lift, and improved elasticity. Fragrance-free, rosacea safe, and suitable for all skin types and tones.
FF3 Hydra Intensive HA delivers hydration at multiple depths. High molecular weight hyaluronic acid creates an instant visible plumping effect, while natural moisturizing factors including sodium PCA, sodium lactate, glycine, and urea attract and hold moisture within the skin for lasting comfort and suppleness. Skin looks and feels deeply hydrated rather than temporarily coated.
As the skin loses hyaluronic acid over time, it loses the moisture support that keeps it looking full, bouncy, and resilient. FF3 Hydra Intensive HA replenishes this moisture foundation while the FF3 signal peptide blend works to repair the extracellular matrix affected by age and sun exposure. With consistent use, skin feels firmer, lines appear softer, and texture becomes smoother.
Two additional actives work alongside the hyaluronic acid in this formula. Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, a neuropeptide, mimics a muscle-relaxing signal to soften the appearance of expression lines. DMAE, an organic antioxidant compound, helps reduce facial laxity and improves collagen structure and density. Together they add a visible lifting and toning effect alongside the hydration.
Manuka honey and pineapple enzyme mask that exfoliates, brightens, and deeply hydrates in 15 minutes.
If you're already using actives like retinoids in your routine, Vivant FF3 Manuka Enzyme Lift is a great addition without adding more aggression. Retinoids accelerate cell turnover but dead cells can still hang around on the surface. The pineapple enzymes gently loosen them while the Manuka honey soothes and hydrates, so you're exfoliating, soothing, and hydrating all in one step. Apply it before your shower and let the steam activate the enzymes while you wash your hair or body, or put it on while you're taking a bath and just relax. There is something really nice about sitting in the bath knowing your mask is doing three things for your skin at once wh8le you are relaxing.
Vivant FF3 Manuka Enzyme Lift is a weekly enzyme mask that blends highest-grade Manuka honey with Bromelain, a pineapple-derived enzyme, to gently dissolve dead skin cells, instantly brighten dull skin, minimize pores, and replenish moisture. It softens fine lines, smooths texture, and leaves skin with a velvety, lifted appearance. Suitable for all skin types. Use once or twice a week.
Exfoliation can come from scrubbing particles, acids, or enzymes. Bromelain uses enzymatic action to break down dead skin cells at the protein level, without abrasion and without lowering the skin's pH. Some people find scrubs or acids irritating, and enzymatic exfoliation suits those who would rather skip them while still clearing dead cells from the surface.
The Manuka honey in this formula is certified for purity and potency, providing a concentrated dose of methylglyoxal, the compound behind Manuka's well-known antimicrobial and soothing properties. As a humectant it draws moisture deeply into the skin while supporting cellular repair and calming the skin, which is why skin feels genuinely nourished and soft immediately after rinsing.
Japanese green tea, grape, and kiwi fruit extracts provide antioxidant protection and gentle astringent properties that support pore refinement and a more even skin surface. Together with the enzymatic exfoliation of Bromelain, they help keep pores clearer and less congested, so they look smaller. With regular weekly use, skin texture becomes noticeably smoother and more refined.
A 2-in-1 peptide and brightener serum that firms, smooths, and evens skin tone.
If elasticity, texture, and pigmentation are your concerns, this serum is for you. My clients notice a real difference in their skin after just one bottle.
Firming Serum is designed to address multiple signs of aging at once. It helps lift and firm sagging skin, brighten discoloration, and hydrate and smooth texture for a more youthful, radiant, and even-toned complexion. Vitamin C in the formula brightens uneven tone and helps protect the skin against free radical damage every day.
With four advanced amino peptides, this serum supports new cell growth and helps reprogram aging fibroblasts. The result is improved collagen production, stronger skin structure, and a visibly reduced appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Sodium hyaluronate adds deep hydration alongside them, binding water to the skin to keep it plump and soft.
By targeting the proteins that naturally decline with age, this formula helps restore firmness and elasticity. Its peptides help firm and smooth the skin while reducing the look of fine lines and wrinkles, and sodium hyaluronate keeps it plump and soft. Skin feels more resilient and looks visibly lifted with consistent use.
This serum is more than surface-level care. It promotes healthier skin at the cellular level by stimulating repair and renewal, supporting long-term skin vitality and building greater resilience with consistent daily use. Apply it to clean skin before your moisturizer, morning and evening, so it becomes a steady part of your routine.
Hydrates, soothes and refreshes sensitive and acne prone skin.
This is the cleanser I recommend to literally anyone. Teens and adults can share it, different skin types can use it together, and skin never feels tight or stripped after. The texture is genuinely nice and it does its job without drama. If you wear makeup, use a makeup remover or cleansing oil first before this step. I always recommend pairing it with the Quenching Glow Toner from KRX Aesthetics because hydration benefits every skin concern, whether you mix a few drops into the cleanser or apply the toner right after. A simple, dependable daily cleanser that works for everyone.
Glow Gel Cleanser lifts away excess oil and impurities with two mild, coconut-derived cleansing agents: coco-betaine and potassium cocoyl glycinate, which is made with an amino acid. Glycerin and panthenol draw water into your skin while you cleanse, and arginine helps keep the formula at a skin-friendly pH. Skin is left comfortable rather than tight, because the oils your barrier relies on stay in place.
Niacinamide, glutathione and vitamin C sit alongside fruit extracts such as bilberry, blueberry and apple, bringing antioxidant support every time you cleanse. With consistent daily use, this helps brighten your complexion and gives skin a more even, glowing look. Because a cleanser is rinsed off within a minute, these benefits build gradually. Niacinamide also helps calm redness and refine the look of pores.
The formula is fragrance-free and sulfate-free, and it is built around ingredients that help calm redness and irritation. Dipotassium glycyrrhizate, which comes from licorice root, and white water lily extract soothe your skin during the cleanse, while panthenol and glycerin keep it hydrated and comfortable. It is gentle enough for sensitive and acne-prone skin, and it works for both teens and adults.
The fruit extracts in Glow Gel Cleanser, including bilberry, sugarcane, lemon, orange and sugar maple, are natural sources of fruit acids, and pineapple fruit water is a natural source of the enzyme bromelain. Together they give a light exfoliating boost at the cleansing step, loosening dead cell buildup for smoother-looking skin. Because it rinses off quickly, it complements a dedicated exfoliant rather than replacing one.
A 10% glycolic acid wash that smooths, brightens, and clears skin while you cleanse.
If your skin feels dull, congested, or textured, Glycolic Facial Cleanser is a great way to refresh it. It exfoliates to smooth texture, brighten tone, and support clearer skin. I recommend using it just 2β3 times a week; itβs strong, so daily use can be too much for most people. I also love using it on the body to help with brightness and rough patches. Make sure to hydrate both face and body after using it.
GlyMed Plus Glycolic Facial Cleanser is a 10% glycolic acid wash that helps jumpstart cell turnover to reveal brighter, smoother, and more even-toned skin. Itβs a top choice both in clinics and at home for its ability to refine texture while staying gentle on the skin.
This cleanser supports the natural exfoliation process, helping to unclog pores, brighten dullness, and reduce signs of aging. It also preps the skin to absorb serums and other products more effectively, making it an ideal first step in any results-driven skincare routine. Emulsify it with water into a foam, massage over the skin, then rinse.
Formulated with a clinical dose of glycolic acid, this cleanser exfoliates without scrubbing. Glycerin keeps skin hydrated and balanced, while the sulfate-free base supports a smooth, non-stripping cleanse, even for sensitive skin types. A surfactant creates the foaming action and lifts away oil, dirt, and debris as you massage it over the skin.
Whether you are addressing acne, signs of aging, or pigmentation, Glycolic Facial Cleanser is a foundational product that delivers consistent results. It is effective enough to make a visible difference in skin clarity and tone. Begin with two to three times a week and increase as your skin is ready. It also works on the body for rough patches.
Exfoliating serum that smooths texture, clears pores and helps with anti-aging.
The Glycolic Serum has seriously impressed me, it's become one of my go-to recommendations for clients struggling with moderate to severe noninflamed or combination acne who just can't tolerate the 5% or 8% L-Mandelic Serum. It offers a gentle but effective alternative and can even be layered underneath Face Reality Vitamin A serums if the skin can handle it. And it's not just limited to acne! I've been suggesting it to my non-acne clients who simply want some gentle exfoliation and overall skin rejuvenation. It's truly versatile and effective.
Face Reality Glycolic Serum is a resurfacing serum that improves texture, fades discoloration, and enhances skin clarity. Available in 5% and 10% glycolic acid, it offers flexibility for different skin tolerances while delivering targeted exfoliation for smoother, more even skin. Apply it to cleansed skin after toner and before HydraRemedy or HydraBalance.
Choose 5% for gentle exfoliation and brightening, or 10% for more advanced skin with higher tolerance or body acne. Both are alcohol-free, acne-safe, and help reduce congestion and buildup without irritation, ideal for oily or combination skin types. It also offers a gentle option for skin that does not tolerate the 5% or 8% Mandelic Serum.
By removing surface buildup, Glycolic Serum helps your other products absorb better. It pairs especially well with acne regimens to support skin clarity while boosting the effects of other actives, like mandelic acid or Acne Med (when used on alternating nights). If your skin can handle it, it can also be layered under Face Reality vitamin A serums.
Consistent use of Glycolic Serum promotes healthy cell turnover, helping fade post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) and soften rough patches. Skin appears more radiant, even-toned, and balanced without compromising the barrier. Witch hazel helps tone and clarify, glycerin maintains hydration, and the serum also suits non-acne skin that simply wants gentle exfoliation and rejuvenation.
For skin that feels reactive, red, or easily stripped.
If your skin gets red or reactive during cleansing but you want a gel cleanser or youβre someone who doesnβt want million products - Vivant Green Tea Cleanser is for you! It cleanses without disrupting the barrier, calms inflammation, and works everywhere: face, body, scalp, even for shaving. Especially my oily, rosacea-prone clients love it.
This cleanser is ideal for skin that flushes easily, feels reactive, or gets red from harsh washing. It dissolves daily buildup without disrupting the skin barrier, helping the skin feel calmer and more stable after cleansing. A great option when your skin is βon edgeβ and needs a reset.
This cleanser is designed for skin that feels reactive, inflamed, or easily disrupted. It gently removes dirt, oil, makeup, and environmental buildup while respecting the skinβs natural barrier. Instead of leaving skin tight or squeaky, it cleanses in a way that feels calming, balanced, and comfortable, making it ideal for daily use, even on compromised skin.
This is not a face-only cleanser. Its low-irritation formula makes it suitable for the body, scalp, and even shaving. It helps cleanse without triggering dryness or flare-ups, which is why it works well for areas prone to friction, shaving irritation, or sensitivity. Many use it as a daily body wash or scalp cleanser when skin needs something soothing and uncomplicated.
Antioxidant extracts help neutralize the effects of daily environmental exposure that can contribute to dullness, sensitivity, and premature aging. Green tea extract helps calm visible redness with antioxidant protection, and kiwi fruit extract offers gentle enzymatic support that refreshes dull, stressed skin. This makes cleansing feel more restorative, clearing away the day's buildup while supporting healthier-looking skin over time.
Oil-free hydration serum that boosts moisture by up to 61% in 15 minutes.
If your skin feels tight, dehydrated, dull, or somehow oily and dry at the same time, there's a good chance it's lacking water, not oil. A surprising number of skin concerns get worse when the skin is dehydrated, including irritation, tightness, dullness, fine lines, excess oil production, acne, and clogged pores. Revision HA HydraSerum+ helps restore hydration without feeling heavy, sticky, or greasy. Once the skin is properly hydrated, it often feels calmer, less reactive, and more balanced overall.
Most hydrating serums hydrate the surface only and the effect fades within hours. HA HydraSerum+ uses multi-molecular hyaluronic acid alongside biosaccharide gum, glycerin, sodium PCA, and sodium lactate that together attract and retain moisture at multiple levels of the skin simultaneously. The result is both an immediate visible plumping effect and a sustained hydration benefit throughout the day that keeps skin consistently comfortable and balanced.
Dehydration is one of the most underestimated contributors to visible fine lines. When skin lacks moisture, lines look deeper and texture looks rougher. HA HydraSerum+ restores moisture at multiple depths, visibly plumping the skin and softening the appearance of fine lines. Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5 further supports collagen production, improving firmness and texture with consistent daily use.
Hyaluronic acid provides the hydration foundation that collagen needs to function effectively. HA HydraSerum+ goes beyond standard hydration serums by including Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5, a collagen-stimulating peptide that supports the skin's structural proteins alongside the hydration complex. With consistent twice-daily use, skin not only feels more hydrated but gradually looks firmer, more elastic, and more resilient as the collagen-supporting benefits compound over time.
A hydrating serum that also nourishes and protects the skin provides more value than one that simply adds moisture. HA HydraSerum+ contains honey and sea kelp that condition and soften, watermelon, apple, and lentil extracts that maintain uniform hydration throughout the day, and pomegranate extract and vitamin E that provide antioxidant protection against the daily environmental damage that depletes moisture and accelerates skin aging.
Deeply hydrates, plumps fine lines, and stimulates the skinβs natural hyaluronic acid production.
If your skin feels dry, dull, dehydrated, inflamed, or just not as plump as it used to, Alastin HA Immerse Serum helps with more than surface hydration. It helps the skin stay hydrated long term by supporting its natural hyaluronic acid production over time instead of only temporarily hydrating the skin. I also like it for acne-prone or congested skin because proper hydration can help calm inflammation and support healthier-looking skin without feeling heavy or greasy.
HA Immerse Serum delivers immediate hydration while helping your skin boost its own hyaluronic acid production. This dual-action formula plumps, smooths, and softens your skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines while maintaining a healthy, youthful glow all day. Silver mushroom extract, often called natural hyaluronic acid, helps retain moisture and smooth the skin.
Powered by Alastinβs proprietary Octapeptide-45, this serum not only hydrates but also supports long-term skin health. It reinforces your skin barrier, helping it retain moisture more effectively and resist environmental stressors that can lead to dryness or premature aging. Hexapeptide-11, a bioidentical peptide from yeast fermentation, adds firming, toning, and elasticity-enhancing support.
HA Immerse Serum is backed by clinical research showing visible improvements in skin hydration, texture, and plumpness. With consistent use, it delivers both instant and long-term results, making it a powerful addition to any anti-aging or hydration-focused skincare routine. For best results, apply one to two pumps as the first product after cleansing, morning and evening.
This lightweight, oil-free formula absorbs quickly and works for all skin types, even sensitive skin. It layers effortlessly under other products and makeup, so you can enjoy maximum hydration and anti-aging benefits without disrupting your daily routine. It also suits acne-prone or congested skin, since proper hydration can help calm inflammation without feeling heavy.
A lightweight dew serum with hemp botanicals that hydrates, reduces redness, and smooths fine lines.
If you struggle with pigmentation, redness, acne, or unbalanced oil and dryness, this serum will be your skinβs new best friend. My clients love how lightweight it feels, how it balances their skin, and how especially great it is during travel.
Hemp oil delivers lightweight hydration without clogging pores or leaving behind residue. Rich in omegas, it replenishes the skin barrier, helps lock in water, and calms visible dryness and irritation for a more comfortable, balanced complexion throughout the day. Apply it to clean skin before your moisturizer as the lightweight hydrating layer of your routine.
Peptides are short chains of amino acids that signal the skin to produce more collagen and elastin. This helps lift and firm sagging areas over time while supporting a smoother, stronger, and more resilient skin surface. With consistent use, this collagen and elastin support helps soften fine lines and improve elasticity.
Vitamin B3 works to fade discoloration and improve uneven pigmentation, leaving the skin looking clearer and more radiant. It also helps balance oil production, making it a supportive ingredient for both dry and oily skin types. Also known as niacinamide, it calms visible redness too, which supports a smoother, more balanced complexion for reactive skin.
Although packed with nourishing ingredients, the formula remains lightweight and fast-absorbing. This makes it appropriate for dry, sensitive, combination, and even breakout-prone skin types needing hydration without heaviness. Its blend of hemp oil, peptides, and vitamin B3 suits skin dealing with pigmentation, redness, acne, or a mix of oiliness and dryness. It is also an easy, lightweight choice for travel.
A balancing mist with hemp and niacinamide that calms, refreshes, and hydrates skin.
If your skin feels irritated, dry, or stressed, this skin mist can really help. It soothes inflammation (even inflamed acne!), boosts hydration, and brings the skin back into balance, especially after sun exposure, workouts, or breakouts. My clients use it throughout the day for a quick refresh to supports their skin. make sure to use as a first step in your AM and PM routine!

Whether used after cleansing or throughout the day, it reinforces skin health while prepping the face for the rest of your routine. Hemp oil also brings anti-inflammatory and antioxidant support for irritated or stressed skin.
This formula includes antioxidant-rich plant extracts like green tea, goji berry, pomegranate, and aloe vera, combined with hyaluronic acid and glycosaminoglycans to deeply hydrate and shield the skin from environmental stress. Hemp oil adds a calming layer of support, especially for sensitive or reactive skin.
Use Hemp Skin Mist to set makeup, prep your skin before applying actives, or instantly hydrate during the day. It delivers a weightless finish without stickiness or shine, just balanced, replenished skin. For best results, mist it onto your face right after cleansing, morning and night, then follow with your serums and moisturizer.
A calming serum that supports sensitive skin, reduces bacteria, and strengthens the skin barrier.
My clients with chronically reactive skin are obsessed with this Hemp Soothing Serum. I recommend it for irritated or inflamed skin, including inflamed acne and rosacea. Many of my clients tell me their skin tolerates other products much better when this is part of their routine. It helps keep the skin calmer, more comfortable, and less reactive day to day.
GlyMed Hemp Soothing Serum is designed to support ultra-sensitive or easily irritated skin. The formula helps calm visible redness and discomfort while reinforcing the skinβs protective barrier. Its gentle approach makes it suitable for individuals whose skin reacts easily to environmental stress, breakouts, or active treatments.
Micro-silver helps reduce harmful bacteria while allowing the skinβs natural microbiome to remain balanced. Maintaining healthy skin flora supports a calmer, more resilient complexion and can help reduce flare-ups triggered by bacterial imbalance. This supportive environment allows sensitive skin to function more comfortably and recover more efficiently.
Hydrating ingredients and nourishing plant oils help replenish moisture and reinforce the skin barrier. Peptides support firmness and help improve the appearance of skin elasticity over time. As hydration and barrier strength improve, the skin often appears smoother, more balanced, and less reactive to external stressors.
This serum is particularly helpful for individuals with ultra-sensitive, redness-prone, or compromised skin. It fits well into routines designed to calm inflammation and support barrier recovery. Its lightweight texture also makes it easy to layer with moisturizers or treatment products when skin needs extra soothing support.
Oil-free gel hydrator that soothes and balances moisture, especially for oily or combination skin.
If your skin feels dehydrated, oily, or inflamed, Face Reality Hydrabalance Gel is such a good fit. Itβs lightweight, soothing, and acne-safe, making it perfect for calming irritation and restoring balance without any heaviness. My clients love how it keeps their skin hydrated and comfortable no matter their skin type.
Face Reality HydraBalance is a soothing, water-based gel designed to deliver moisture and calm to dehydrated or irritated skin. It is especially helpful if your skin feels dry, flaky, or tight while you are using acne products like benzoyl peroxide or exfoliating acids. When your skin feels especially dry or compromised, you can layer it more than once, morning and night.
HydraBalance Gel is incredibly light, making it a favorite for oily or acne-prone skin that still needs hydration. It is versatile enough to use on its own for a weightless feel, or layered under a moisturizer when your skin needs additional support. Lilac stem cells help regulate oil production, a welcome benefit for oily skin.
HydraBalance pairs well with Acne Med. Apply it first, let it dry, then apply Acne Med to reduce irritation and keep skin comfortable. With exfoliating acids such as Mandelic Serum or GlowTone, apply the acid first and HydraBalance after. You can also use it under masks, after a peel, or during travel when your skin needs extra calming hydration.
With hyaluronic acid and antioxidants such as totarol and a spin trap, HydraBalance helps draw moisture into the skin, reduce inflammation, and support repair. The result is smoother, more resilient skin that stays balanced even when your routine includes strong actives. The spin trap captures free radicals and holds them in a stable form, so they cannot damage your skin.
Cooling deeply hydrating mask that calms irritation and restores hydration.
This super hydrating mask is great for anyone with or without acne, it can be used as a 10-20 minute mask or an overnight mask treatment. It's always a great idea to hydrate the skin when experiencing dryness, because dryness causes inflammation and inflammation causes aging, darker pigmentation and acne.
The Face Reality HydraCalm Mask is a creamy, restorative mask designed to calm irritated skin and deeply hydrate without clogging pores. It is a dependable choice for skin that is dry, red, or inflamed from acne products, weather, or professional procedures. Hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring humectant, plumps while supporting the skin barrier.
Formulated with aloe vera, oat kernel extract, and calendula, HydraCalm Mask helps relieve discomfort while promoting visible recovery. It is gentle enough for all skin types, including sensitive or post-procedure skin, and is formulated to be acne-safe. Beta glucan adds skin-soothing, hydrating, and barrier-strengthening support for stressed skin.
HydraCalm provides nourishing moisture with a lightweight feel that does not leave skin greasy. It helps reduce the look of redness and flaking while supporting a healthy skin barrier, especially when skin feels compromised or reactive from active products. Bisabolol, derived from chamomile, adds calming, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant care.
HydraCalm Mask can also be used as a sleeping mask. Apply a thin layer, follow with your moisturizer, and leave it on overnight. You will wake up to skin that feels soothed, deeply hydrated, and noticeably refreshed by morning. As a regular mask, leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes and rinse with lukewarm water.
Hydrating serum that strengthens the barrier and reduces inflammation and PIE, especially for dry skin.
If youβre dealing with PIE from acne, very dry skin, or reactive redness, HydraRemedy is such a great fit. π Itβs the next step up if HydraBalance isnβt giving you quite enough hydration. I love it as a first serum before layering other actives, and it contains one of my favorite ingredients, Beta Glucan, which helps activate the skinβs healing process for deep repair and soothing hydration.
The Face Reality HydraRemedy Gel Serum is a water-light hydrator formulated to deliver deep moisture and calm irritation fast. Whether your skin is dehydrated from acne products or reacting to environmental stress, this serum helps restore balance and comfort without clogging pores. Beta glucan, one of its key ingredients, brings soothing, hydrating, and barrier-strengthening support.
This gentle formula is packed with skin-repairing ingredients like sodium hyaluronate, panthenol, and beta-glucan. It soothes redness, reduces tightness, and reinforces the skin barrier, making it ideal for use alongside actives like benzoyl peroxide or exfoliating acids. Ceramides help retain moisture and protect against environmental stressors, and the formula helps calm the look of post-acne redness (PIE).
Oil-free and non-comedogenic, HydraRemedy is suitable for oily, dry, or combination skin, even those prone to sensitivity. It layers easily under moisturizers or SPF and absorbs quickly without stickiness, making it a seamless addition to both morning and evening routines. Use one to two pumps after toning, or after serums such as Mandelic or GlowTone.
Whether you are navigating a seasonal skin shift, recovering from a professional procedure, or just looking for a boost of hydration, this serum delivers immediate comfort and long-term support. Skin feels smoother, softer, and more resilient with every use. During flare-ups or very dry spells, layer an extra pump for more hydration, morning or night.
Lightweight, microbiome-safe cream that repairs the barrier, nourishes deeply, and locks in moisture.
The Hydrating Barrier Creams are for anyone who prefers a lighter moisturizer but still wants nourishment. They are formulated not to clog pores, they support a healthy barrier, and they feel weightless on the skin. My clients especially like the Normal to Oily formula for keeping oil more balanced in the summer. If your skin is dry, choose the formula made for drier skin.
BIOJUVE Hydrating Barrier Cream delivers long-lasting hydration while helping to reinforce your skinβs natural protective barrier. This daily moisturizer locks in moisture, reduces water loss through the skin, and defends against environmental stressors, leaving skin feeling calm, nourished, and resilient. Squalane, which mirrors the skinβs natural oils, helps restore moisture and improve elasticity without clogging pores.
Designed to complement the BIOJUVE Living Biome Essentials Serum, this cream helps lock in the benefits of postbiotic activity. It protects the live Xycrobe technology on the skin, which helps keep your microbiome balanced and your results consistent. Massage a thin, even layer over the face before makeup or sunscreen to seal in the steps beneath.
Despite its rich hydration benefits, BIOJUVE Hydrating Barrier Cream absorbs quickly without a heavy or greasy finish. It is suitable for all skin types, including sensitive or compromised skin, and layers effortlessly with other products in your routine. Glycerin draws water into the skin, keeping it plump, soft, and moisturized throughout the day.
Available in two versions, Normal to Dry and Normal to Oily, BIOJUVE Hydrating Barrier Cream makes it easy to find the right level of hydration for your skinβs unique needs. Both versions support long-term skin health without clogging pores or disrupting the microbiome. The Normal to Oily version also helps keep oiliness more balanced, especially in summer.
An enzyme-powered mask that exfoliates, detoxifies, and deeply hydrates for a radiant, renewed skin texture.
This hydrating mask is one of those treatments that feels gentle but does a lot. It deeply moisturizes, softens the skin, and helps smooth away dead skin cells, without using any acids. Thatβs why I recommend it for all skin types, especially if your skin is reactive, sensitive, or in need of a reset. It gives your skin a refreshed, calm glow without any irritation. Start with twice a week and see if you need to use it more often, remember it's still exfoliating.
Hydrating Masque with Enzymes is a multitasking mask that deeply hydrates while gently exfoliating and detoxifying the skin. Ideal for dry, dehydrated, or lackluster complexions, it helps reveal smoother and more radiant skin after just one use. Apply it to a cleansed face, neck, and dΓ©colletΓ©, leave it on for five to ten minutes, then rinse.
Infused with aloe, calendula, and olive leaf extract, this masque calms inflammation and restores moisture balance. Antioxidants like vitamin E and retinyl palmitate work alongside hyaluronic acid to plump and protect the skin barrier, while supporting cellular renewal. Sodium hyaluronate attracts water into the skin for intense hydration and a plumper look.
Natural enzymes like papain (from papaya) and bromelain (from pineapple) dissolve dead skin cells without scrubbing. This promotes a brighter, glowing look and boosts the skin's ability to absorb hydration and nutrients. Because it exfoliates without acids, it suits reactive and sensitive skin; start with twice a week and adjust from there.
Hydrating Masque with Enzymes also includes squalane, allantoin, and thioctic acid to help improve texture and reduce signs of dryness or fatigue. The result is skin that looks firmer, feels softer, and appears visibly more energized after every use. Glycerin draws in water to help maintain hydration and barrier function.
Lightweight, dual-action moisturizer that deeply hydrates and strengthens the skin barrier.
I think that this is an excellent super lightweight moisturizer for any skin type, especially acne and oily skin. My clients who hate the feel of heavy moisturizers enjoy using SkinBetter Hydration Boosting Cream. This moisturizer contains Beta Glucan, one of my most recommended ingredients because it helps to activate skin repair cells, which help with acne scarring, skin damage, and pigmentation.
Hydration Boosting Cream is a dual-action moisturizer that delivers both instant and sustained hydration, leaving skin feeling refreshed, soft, and healthy. Its silky, airy finish absorbs quickly without any greasy residue, making it a versatile step in any skincare routine. Apply one to two pumps as the final step after your serums, morning and night.
Formulated with ceramides and plant-derived fats, this cream helps strengthen the skin's protective barrier, locking in moisture and defending against environmental stressors. These barrier-reinforcing ingredients work with humectants to reduce water loss through the skin and support skin resilience. Niacinamide, a multitasking ingredient, adds support for skin tone, texture, and barrier function.
Hydration Boosting Cream is an ideal companion for routines built around actives, including retinoids and exfoliating acids. With a retinoid, you can apply the cream first to cushion it, then apply the retinoid. With acids, apply the acid first and finish with the cream. Either way, it helps offset dryness and sensitivity and keeps your skin comfortable.
Suitable for all skin types, this moisturizer adapts to your skin's needs. Jojoba esters mimic the skin's natural sebum, giving lightweight hydration without clogging pores. Its balanced hydration works equally well as a daily moisturizer or a targeted solution when skin feels dehydrated, whether your routine is minimalist or a more advanced multi-step regimen.
Gel sleeping mask that floods skin with hydration, firms, and restores radiance overnight.
Young Goose Hyperbaric Mask is the sleeping mask for when skin feels depleted, dull, or in recovery from something. The gel texture is luxurious, a little goes a very long way, and it disappears completely by morning. It is also great for travel, when skin feels unbalanced from cliamte change and especially great to apply during a plane flight. Use it overnight for the best results.
Young Goose Hyperbaric Mask is a gel-like sleeping mask formulated to mimic the skin-rejuvenating effects of hyperbaric oxygen therapy, flooding the skin with hydration, enhancing firmness, and supporting cellular renewal overnight. It combines peptides, yeast extract, marine algae, strawberry seed extract, and moringa oil to restore fatigued, dull, and depleted skin. Suitable for all skin types and especially effective for post-procedure, mature, and hormonal skin.
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is a medical procedure that increases the oxygen delivered to cells, supporting faster healing, collagen production, and cellular renewal. This mask is formulated to mimic that effect topically with longevity pathway activators, oxygenating yeast extract, and botanical actives that enhance oxygen metabolism in the skin. Skin looks and feels more energized, firmer, and more radiant with consistent use.
Loss of firmness and the gradual deepening of fine lines come from declining collagen and elastin production over time. Hyperbaric Mask contains pro-collagen peptides and marine algae that help restore depleted collagen and elastin for firmer, more elastic skin. Around the eye area, marine algae has shown improvements in firmness, fine lines, and the look of under-eye bags.
Dehydrated, depleted skin often shows up as dullness, sensitivity, and accelerated visible aging. This mask delivers concentrated hydration through glycerin, mannitol, sea water, and strawberry seed extract, revitalizing and strengthening the skin's protective barrier overnight. Skin wakes up visibly plumper, more comfortable, and more radiant, making the mask especially useful after travel, procedures, or periods of stress.
A mandelic acid cleanser that gently exfoliates, brightens, and helps control acne-causing bacteria.
This cleanser does it all; it clears out pores, removes buildup, and gently exfoliates without stripping your skin. The mandelic acid makes it extra special: itβs effective but super gentle, which is rare. Perfect for sensitive or breakout-prone skin! One of my best sellers!
GlyMed Plus Idyllic Cleanser is a daily face wash powered by 3% Mandelic Acid to gently exfoliate, unclog pores, and keep acne-causing bacteria in check. Itβs a mild-active formula that balances clear-skin results with a soothing, non-stripping cleanse, making it a reliable choice for both breakout-prone and aging skin.
This cleanser is safe for all skin types and tones, even those with moderate acne or mild sensitivity. Whether you are managing oiliness, dullness, or uneven texture, Idyllic Cleanser helps reset your skin while respecting your barrier. Begin by using it once a day, then increase how often you use it as your skin is ready.
Mandelic Acid, an AHA derived from bitter almonds, delivers gentle exfoliation and antibacterial benefits. It suits deeper skin tones and sensitive types, helping reduce breakouts and brighten dark spots while refining texture over time. Its larger molecular size means slower absorption, which is why it suits sensitive and acne-prone skin.
To keep skin comfortable, Idyllic Cleanser includes calming extracts like chamomile, green tea, and comfrey root. These ingredients help soothe inflammation and support a balanced, hydrated complexion, even while exfoliating. Glycerin also draws in water to help maintain hydration and barrier function, so skin feels balanced and comfortable after every cleanse.
